CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion: A goodie for oily skin
Everyone probably knows or use CeraVe before. For me, its best product line ever is the facial cleanser one: the best trio Hydrating, Foaming, and SA cleanser. I just found out about its moisturizer recently after emptying out my Vitamin Tree Water Gel a couple of months ago. It perfectly meets the basic requirements that any skin needs: moisturizing, soothing, and restoring skin barriers.
This one has pretty smart packaging. It comes in sturdy plastic with a rotatable pump on top. When taking the moisturizer out, we turn the pump counter-clockwise, and then just turn it clockwise to lock the pump. With this lock mechanism, it is very convenient for us to carry around without the case of spillage.
This lotion texture is, as stated on the label, lightweight. At first, its texture appears thick and heavy, and I am quite skeptical of its permeability. However, when the texture spreads, it becomes light and almost melts away. After just a few massages, it completely penetrates into my skin nearly immediately. There is no sticky sensation or greasy appearance afterward as if I haven’t applied anything on my face.
At this point, this product has got me a big thumbs up!
Thanks to the top trio star ingredients which are Ceramides, Niacinamide, and Hyaluronic acid, this product effectively reduces inflammation and redness while also moisturizing and restoring skin barrier function.
I use this every night, even when my skin is purging, irritating, or after squeezing pimples. This lotion immediately soothes and moisturizes my skin, leaving only a trace of oil around my nose wings the next morning.
As its ingredients are very gentle (alcohol-free and fragrance-free), I recommend it to everyone with oily, combination skin, and sensitive skin type, except for those with really breakouts skin.
I would give it 8.5/10. It is really worth a try!
